Artist and entrepreneur Natalie Robinson has been “creating” since she could hold a crayon. As a child, she spent hours under her mother’s sewing table, sorting through button tins and experimenting with embroidery thread.

Her love of creating spans from sewing and jewelry making, to interior decorating, event planning and cooking. Her love of vintage and repurposing is the inspiration behind her art, and is applied almost daily- upcycling and altering anything from clothing and jewelry, to recipes.

In 2012 after finding herself the sole provider for herself and her two young children, Natalie funneled all of her creative energy into founding Peculiar Sentiments.

Peculiar Sentiments is a curated “boutique” where everything is designed and handmade by Natalie in her studio based in Navasota, Texas. Unique jewelry, clothing, accessories, and home decor are all designed using a variety of upcycled, re-made and re-loved components, such as vintage jewelry, antique buttons, retro fabrics, sewing notions, hardware, and other rediscovered treasures. Each creation is one of a kind- both ‘peculiar’ and ‘sentimental’. An avid thrifter, Natalie enjoys finding the discarded and derelict, and giving it new life.
